I teach piano, guitar, accordion, ukelele, and bass to people in a fun, dynamic way, with a combination of note-reading and learning by ear.
Lessons are offered in-studio, in-home, and online.
Lessons are offered in-home in Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville, Milton, and Burlington, and also at my home studio near Winston Churchill and Dundas in Mississauga.
I teach at a pace that is comfortable for you. When you take lessons with me, we start learning real songs right away, rather than starting with too much theory. Theory can be learnt in a gradual and exploratory manner through songs.
Learn the songs that you want to learn! I believe that students learn the most when they are motivated by the music that is in their lives. As a teacher, my duty is to inspire my students and also to broaden their musical horizons. My students learn everything from Ed Sheeran to Beethoven, from Chopin to Bollywood songs, from Billy Joel to Disney songs.
I teach with a combination of note reading and using your ear to learn a song’s melody.
Piano students either work with me or with Adam, depending on availability. Here's a few words about Adam and his teaching philosophy:
I teach piano and melodica to people of all ages with or without musical experience, with an emphasis on it being a rewarding and fun experience.
I finished RCM Grade 8 and advanced theory, and I played in Michael Power/St. Joseph's Orchestra and Jazz Band. I love working with children of all ages, and spent 4 years working with children in Scouts programs.
I believe that students learn music best when they play songs that they genuinely enjoy. We can learn with the music that you love, and discover new and interesting styles. My lessons are a mixture of playing your favourite songs by ear, reading notes, and using some theory to explain how the music works.
